MySQL Connector allows data from forms to be submitted to MySQL databases. The connector also creates underlying data structure automatically for data storage like tables for forms and columns for controls with appropriate data types.
To add a MySQL Connector into your app, follow these steps:
- Go to the Connections sub-menu
- Click Add New button
- Click the MySQL Connector button
- Fill in the required fields:
|Connection Name||Yes||User defined connection name|
|Server||Yes||The server’s address (Name or IP) where the MySQL server is hosted|
|User Id||Yes||The User ID is used to access the MySQL server|
|Password||Yes||The Password is used to access the MySQL server|
|Database||Yes||The database name which is to be used in this connector instance. only one database can be used per connector instance|
- Test the connection
- Save the connection
The MySQL connector has been successfully added to your app.
